Sudbury-area driver killed while spinning in circles and doing donuts

A 27-year-old man was killed in the Greater Sudbury community of Chelmsford when he was ejected from his vehicle after a rollover on Sunday.

Police said the man lost control while doing donuts in a field – a maneuver in which the rear of the vehicle turns in a circular motion.

Neither the 27-year-old driver nor the 21-year-old passenger were wearing seat belts and both were ejected from the vehicle due to the rollover.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Greater Sudbury Police said the Traffic Unit continues to investigate the single-vehicle crash.
