You’re going to want this limited edition titanium diver from Orient Star

QUICK SUMMARY

Orient Star has announced a titanium dive watch with gold details and limited to just 365 pieces.

Available now, it’s priced at £1,229.99.

We love a good diving watch here at T3 – and especially when it features a lightweight yet ultra-strong titanium case and bracelet.

The latest object of our desires comes from Japanese watchmaker Orient Star, and it’s called (take a deep breath, everyone…) the M42 Diver 1964 2nd edition F6 Date 200m Titanium. A limited edition watch built to mark 60 years since the release in 1964 of the first diver’s watch from the Orient.

It features a special color scheme combining gray titanium with gold accents, an anthracite gray dial and a unidirectional rotating bezel. Being a dive watch, it has a water resistance of 200 meters, and Orient explains that the titanium has a protective coating that hardens its surface. The metal “also offers excellent resistance to corrosion, seawater and sweat, and is considered hypoallergenic,” adds the watchmaker.

Other design elements of dive watches include luminous markings on the dial and bezel, as well as on the hands. Gold markings also appear on the dial and bezel, all of which contrast nicely with the gray titanium and help make this dive watch stand out from the crowd.
