Congratulations to the following agencies for receiving a free water bottle filling station from the Highland County Health Department, thanks to a grant funded by the Ohio Department of Health:

• Highland County Developmental Disabilities Council
• Highland County Veterans Services
• Highland County Board of Commissioners
• Highland County Engineer
• Hillsboro Municipal Court
• Highland District Hospital
• Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church
• The Recovery Council Connections Program
• Samaritan Outreach Services
• North High Business Center
• Village of Greenfield
• Westec-Greenfield.

HCHD will provide 31 free water bottle filling stations to these agencies.

The goal of this grant is to reduce disease transmission through contactless fueling stations, minimizing single-use plastic bottles and promoting water consumption.

HCHD still has limited funds for additional water bottle filling stations. Now is the time to submit your application.

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must:

• Be located in the health district (all areas of Highland County).

• Be a government agency, non-profit, for-profit or other organization.

• Accept all required elements in the application and submit a fully completed application with all supporting documents.

Additionally, individuals provided with a water bottle filling station will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the station.

All applicants must complete a form to be eligible to receive a water bottle filling station and will be graded based on a rubric system. If more eligible applications are received than the grant can provide, distribution of water bottle filling stations will be based on the application score.
