Police were called to a residence on Poplar Drive in Cole Harbor around 9 a.m. Monday. In a message addressed to X, the police claim that the two people found dead “knew each other”.

Halifax District RCMP are investigating what they describe as two sudden deaths in Cole Harbour.

In a message sent to X, RCMP say they were called to a residence on Poplar Drive at 9 a.m. Monday.

They claim that the two people located at the residence “knew each other”.

In a subsequent message, the RCMP says the investigation has only just begun, but “we can confirm that there is no risk to public safety.”

The message says the public can expect a heavy police presence in the area.

The RCMP did not provide details about the two people who died.
