Commanders score twice before halftime to extend lead over Giants

Looking for a second NFC East victory this season, the Washington Commanders hit the road to take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The Commanders were first to get on the scoreboard when Jayden Daniels found Terry McLaurin on a short slant in the end zone, although it required a lot of help thanks to a fumble recovery and excellent positioning on the ground.

The Giants responded shortly after. The commanders then took advantage of this to extend their advance. The team had an 11-play, 70-yard drive that was capped by an Austin Ekeler rushing touchdown from one yard out.

After forcing a three-and-out from the Giants, Washington then continued to put points on the scoreboard with a 12-play, 87-yard drive – this time ending with an 18-yard pass from Daniels to McLaurin then that they continue to connect. the end zone.

With a 21-7 lead, the Commanders look to maintain a lead over the Giants in the second half to improve to 7-2 on the season.
