Former Camberley military base to be sold at auction

A former army reserve center and caretaker’s cottage will be auctioned off as potential residential properties.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) is to sell the former London Road military base in Camberley at auction on November 7 for a guide price of £850,000.

A Ministry of Defense spokesperson said the Army Reserve Centre, where reserve soldiers worked and trained, was “surplus to defense requirements” and part of the Army’s strategy. ministry aiming to reduce its fleet.

In June 2024, property consultants Montagu Evans recommended the auction as the best way to sell the site in a report to the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Defence. Local democracy information service said.
