Lioness Season 2 Episode 3 recap: Our new Lioness is on shaky ground

Josephina has only just been recruited into Team Lioness, but things have already started to go wrong. Here’s everything that happened in Lioness Season 2 Episode 3.

THE Taylor Sheridan Series got off to a flying start last week as Episode 1 launched Joe’s team into uncharted territory. To access Chinese intelligence, they must take down the Mexican drug cartel Los Tigres from the inside.

Luckily, they think they’ve found the right strategy for the job. Episode 2 We witnessed the reluctant recruitment of Josephina, an American soldier deployed in Iraq and linked to cartel leader Alvaro. According to her, she has no knowledge of their illegal activities.

But is everything we hear true? Joe doesn’t believe it, and maybe we shouldn’t either. Here is a full preview of Lioness Season 2 Episode 3.

The White House “situation room” in season 2 of Lioness

We pick up from Lioness Season 2 Episode 3 with Joe and Kaitlyn watching from the seat. A female target – presumably linked to Los Tigres – is under surveillance, with agents breaking into her house under the guise of being a gas company. Her Spanish-speaking maid lets them in and leaves the house while they install a tracking chip that provides access to the house’s video surveillance.

At the same time, Joe reveals his doubts about Josephina to Kaitlyn. Joe doesn’t trust her claims that she doesn’t know her uncle (who runs the cartel) or the fact that she apparently doesn’t speak a word of Spanish. Kaitlyn reiterates that you should not trust anyone Joe comes into contact with. Joe panics when she returns home and finds no one, confiding in her husband Errol that kidnapping is a real threat to his new mission.

While Joe is at home, she receives a call from Kaitlyn – the attack in episode 2 made headlines, with Josephina’s firing now official public information. Teenage Kate also catches Joe and Errol having sex, claiming to be “traumatized”.

Back in the White House Situation Room, the powers that be meet to discuss the fallout from the report. Edwin reports that there is a lack of awareness of what is happening, which means there is not enough outrage for there to be a solid alibi – or at least, outrage n is not in the right place. The election isn’t going well either, which means no one can completely agree on the answer.

Joséphine’s training gets off to a bad start

Josephina arrives at Bliss to train, which she is not happy about having to do again. She is immediately hostile to Bliss and everyone else, with the rest of the team being hostile as well. Kaitlyn and her husband begin flattering politicians in an attempt to win them over in the wake of the Iraq cover-up. They’re hesitant to approve the CIA’s plans for Mexico, but after some not-so-gentle persuasion attempts on Kaitlyn’s part, she gets them wrapped around her finger.

At Bliss, Josephina struggles with her new routine, including how open and incredibly mixed everything is. The team puts her through drills, but Josephina’s standard military training – and logic – goes against what she’s taught. Stimulating the chaos of a real-life attack, Josephina takes her time getting acquainted with her new duties (remember, she was a helicopter pilot before being removed from her position).

She is hesitant to trust the advice she is given, but is surprised when it starts to show results. Joe arrives at Bliss to find out how Josephina is doing, with Kyle explaining that she does what she is told and can carry out her plans quickly.

His next part of training comes in the form of VR, being driven blindly into a situation without a specific mission. She is killed during a confrontation with a gunman holding a woman hostage, with Joe blaming Josephina for her techniques. Joe makes it clear that his only mission is to kill – kill the target, then anyone else necessary for “survival.”

The new Lioness is not who we think

Lioness Season 2 Episode 3 ends with Joe pulling Josephina aside. Joe tells her that she is going back to her parents in Dallas, only to wonder why she is not close to her parents.

She tells Kyle that Josephina clearly knows what her father is really doing, with the two quickly becoming upset. In a moment of frustration, Josephina reveals that she do I don’t know Spanish – she’s been lying this whole time.

Joe asks the team to keep her in isolation until the authorities arrive. Josephina claims she stayed away from her family because she doesn’t want to be part of their world. Joe wonders if Josephina is truly determined enough to destroy everything she knows and everything she loves in the name of public safety.

In response, Joséphine is forced to telephone her father Pablo, who asks her if everything is okay. She answers no… and the screen goes black.
