How does this work?

Police have closed a busy road in Brampton following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon that sent people to hospital with unknown injuries.

Peel Regional Police said in a social media post that all northbound and southbound lanes of Kennedy Road were closed, from Kenpark Avenue to Mayfield Road.

Authorities did not say how many people involved in the collision were among those taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes at this time.
