Peel Regional Police have released a photo of a man believed to be the suspect in an alleged stabbing that occurred in Brampton on October 26.

Officers say the suspect approached a 32-year-old man and was involved in a verbal argument near Main Street and Steeles Avenue around 4 p.m.

According to police, the argument degenerated into a violent confrontation which resulted in the victim being stabbed several times. He was then transported to a hospital where his life was not in danger.

The suspect is described as a man of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black toque, a black and gray jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, beige boots and a dark backpack.

Investigators encourage anyone with information to contact police.
