A naked man running on Old Muskoka Road was stopped by police.

Provincial police said their investigation Thursday, shortly after noon, revealed the man “behaved strangely” and became violent toward another person.

The victim was struck by an object and then physically assaulted.

Paramedics examined the victim, who did not require further medical attention.

A 34-year-old Huntsville man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.

He remains in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 31 at 9 a.m.
