Liam Payne’s resignation plans revealed after fatal balcony fall

One Direction Star Liam Payne, 31, resigned as director of four music companies before his fatal fall from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Documents recently published on Companies House reveal Payne’s intentions to withdraw from businesses generating income from recordings and live performances.

Hours before his death, Payne was seen reading emails in the lobby of the CasaSur Palermo hotel. Affected staff escorted him to his room and called emergency services, reporting erratic behavior and a damaged laptop.

Journalist Paula Varela revealed that CCTV footage shows Payne fainting, leading to his tragic fall: “There is footage of Liam fainting and falling from the balcony. If he had been next to his bed, he would have fallen safely.”

Authorities are investigating Payne’s death, initially suggesting substance-induced psychosis. Prosecutors said he was likely in “semi-or total unconsciousness” during the incident.

Payne was on vacation with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy before returning to the United States a few days earlier. The couple attended Niall Horan’s concert earlier that month.
