Sage partner Peresoft continues its streak of innovation with the release of three significant new features in its Cashbook 2025 release.

Just over a year after the company changed the game in accounting software with True Automation for RecXpress with a robust SFTP tool and took EFT and bank reconciliations to new levels, Peresoft has noted three more key accounting challenges.

Peresoft Founder and CEO Bobby Perel says Cashbook Version 2025’s enhancements and new features further eliminate manual processes that slow down payments and bank reconciliation.

“Our new tools for payment authorizations, emailing remittance advice and Sage Bank Feeds respond to market demands and make processes simpler and faster for customers,” he says. “Peresoft is continually working on improvements, but the market is also feeding off the features it needs to solve key problems. The new Payment Authorizations feature was a fairly complex request, but customers now have access to built-in authorization features to improve efficiency and accuracy and mitigate risk.

With Payment Authorizations, Cashbook users can now implement authorization rules. The settings are designed to ensure that only authorized users can access and perform sensitive banking transactions, such as EFT batches, while also requiring approval processes for key transactions.

With three authorization levels and an option for certain authority levels to override authorizations, the Payment Authorizations module digitizes what was once a tedious manual task. The module also reports changed bank details and will not allow authorizations to be finalized until the list of changed accounts has been printed and verified.

Overcoming the cumbersome task of downloading remittance advices and attaching them to emails, the new Remittance Advice Emailing feature allows users to send emails via a designated SMTP server . Users can specify essential details such as SMTP server name, port number, SSL encryption, and authentication information.

They can also set up an email template and send remittance notices individually or in batches from Cashbook. Additionally, the system provides options for testing email configuration to verify that all settings are working as expected before sending real emails.

RecXpress, which integrates advanced SFTP functionality for secure and efficient retrieval of a bank’s statements, has been upgraded with Sage Bank Feeds functionality. Users simply connect one or more accounts to the program to download statements directly, without the need for a created format.

The latest enhancements are part of Peresoft’s ongoing efforts to make accounting simpler and smarter, as well as strengthen security and compliance, says Perel.
