Front-end loader stolen from south Barrie construction site

Police responded to a call from a residential construction site shortly after 7 a.m. Friday.

Police learned that a white 2021 Bobcat MT100 mini track loader had been removed from the road in front of a home on Monarchy Crescent.

The loader was equipped with a large front bucket with “HR” painted on it.

Through video surveillance of the area, police were able to determine that the theft occurred between 4:35 a.m. and 5:02 a.m. and that a black sport utility vehicle pulling a dual-axle flatbed trailer was involved.

A review of the immediate area has been carried out and police will return to determine if additional CCTV footage is available to assist the investigation.

Barrie police remind business owners to always make sure any equipment left overnight is secured so it cannot be stolen.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact Const. Andrew Dunkley by email.
