Israel Strikes Iran Live Updates: Over 100 Hamas Militants Arrested in Gaza, Israeli Military Says

Israel Hezbollah War Live Updates: Israel announced Saturday the launch of “precise strikes” on military targets in Iran, in retaliation for recent attacks attributed to Iran. According to Israeli military statements, these strikes respond to “months of continuous attacks by the Iranian regime against the State of Israel.”

Iranian state media reported several explosions around Tehran, with Iranian state television confirming “loud explosions” heard across the capital, although the cause of the explosions was not specified.

Israel had vowed to retaliate after the October 1 Iranian missile attack. Since the October 7, 2023 attack by Iran-backed Hamas, Israel has engaged in intensified operations in Gaza and expanded its scope into Lebanon, seeking to secure its northern border amid crossroads repeated. -border aggression by Hezbollah supported by Iran. “Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized,” the Israeli army said, while spokesman Daniel Hagari called on citizens to remain “alert and vigilant.”

The United States has described the Israeli strikes as “an exercise in self-defense,” citing Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel earlier this month. National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett said the strikes were a direct response to the assault. Syria’s official news agency SANA also reported that Syrian air defenses had intercepted “hostile targets” near Damascus, with explosions heard around the Syrian capital, although the source of these explosions remained unclear.
