3 restaurants closed in Mississauga and Milton in October 2024

3 restaurants closed in Mississauga and Milton in October 2024

Imagine being a regular at a place you love, where the staff knows your order and the food makes you feel like home. And then, one day, you show up, and it’s closed for good.

For longtime customers, whether it’s a decades-old favorite or a recently opened concept, such closures can be difficult to digest. Without a second place to turn to, finding another place like it can seem almost impossible.

Here are three restaurants that closed their doors in October:

Closure of La Parmigiana Mississauga restaurant

La Parmigiana, a beloved Italian restaurant located at 5484 Tomken Rd., has closed permanently, ending decades of service in Mississauga.

Known for its comforting Italian classics, the restaurant offered a range of dishes including meatball subs, veal sandwiches, pizzas, and spaghetti and meatballs.

Sources say the closure marks the end of an era for the popular restaurant, with no announced plans to relocate or reopen.

The restaurant’s website and social media did not release further details regarding the closure.

Milton's corn dog restaurant is closed

Arirang, a Korean street food chain famous for its unique take on corndogs, has permanently closed its location at 252 Main St. E., just 14 months after opening.

The store, which shared space with bubble tea chain Gong Cha, offered a range of specialty corndogs with fillings like cheese, sausage, poutine and even Oreo cookies.

A sign on the counter cited “internal conflict” as the reason for the closure, although no further details were provided.

Ontario, Mississauga, Oakville, Chorizo Fresh Mex, closed, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, churros

After nearly 20 years serving Mexican-inspired dishes, Chorizo Fresh Mex has closed its doors in Mississauga’s Clarkson Crossing plaza.

The restaurant, located at 950 Southdown Rd., was a favorite stop for locals looking for tacos, burritos and chorizo quesadillas.

Alongside classic burritos and tacos, Chorizo Fresh Mex offered bowls, fajitas, nachos, and desserts like churros, all made with a focus on fresh, marinated ingredients.

News of the closure surprised many customers, some of whom expressed their disappointment online, noting that the restaurant’s fresh toppings, grilled meats and homemade guacamole made it a standout.

Although the Mississauga location has closed, Chorizo Fresh Mex continues operations in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Whitby.
