Resounding Success: Record Attendance at Burnaby Halloween Events

City says there were more than 50,000 attendees between the many events.

Burnaby’s many Halloween events haven’t scared off visitors.

In fact, it did the opposite.

The City of Burnaby says more than 50,000 participants were recorded from Oct. 23 to Nov. 1 at events like Central Spark, Haunted Village, Toonie Skates theme and celebrations at recreation facilities.

“It’s wonderful to see the community come out and enjoy these events and it’s great to hear the positive feedback from residents and visitors,” Mayor Mike Hurley said in a news release.

“These events not only provide fun and entertainment, but also strengthen our community bonds. »

The distribution of attendance by event was as follows, depending on the city:

  • Central Spark (October 25) – More than 35,000 participants
  • Haunted Village (October 23 to 27) – More than 16,000

The City of Burnaby thanks all the volunteers, sponsors and municipal staff who made these events possible,” the statement added.

“Their dedication and hard work ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.”
