Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal today (November 3) said he needs people’s support to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and ensure good work continues in Delhi.

“I need your support to defeat the BJP and continue the good work in the city as I cannot do it alone. The BJP will stop all the work if it comes to power as it cannot match the facilities ( supplied to Delhi) in States where he is already in power,” he said.

There was no immediate response from the BJP to these claims. AAP leaders are undertaking ‘padyatras (foot marches)’ in different segments of the assembly in the run-up to elections scheduled in February.

Kejriwal, who undertook a march in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden area, reiterated his promise to waive inflated water and electricity bills if he returns to power.

“Form our government in February and all your inflated bills will be canceled, like we did before. So, (there is) no need to pay these bills,” he said.
