Sinister text discovered that ‘exposes’ real Joel killer in Coronation Street | Soaps

The hunt for Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) murderer is still well and truly open. Coronation StreetAnd Green Pencil Case (Jacob Roberts) is about to make a shocking discovery that leads him to a new suspect.

This week saw DS Lisa Swain(Vicki Myers) her career took a big hit, after her daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) reported her for harassment.

Betsy emotionally admitted that she was terrified that her mother would die in the line of duty and had tried to have her suspended to protect her.

As part of the investigation into the harassment complaint, Lisa had to hand over her phones to her boss – a decision that should Put her in the context of a murder.

In the following scenes, as Lisa struggles to buy festival tickets for herself and Betsy, she receives a message summoning her to the train station.

In a new video, Kit confronts her and reveals they found an unsent text message on her phone suggesting she wanted Joel dead, and he demands to know where she was the night of her murder.

Viewers will know Lisa fought crime and tackled a purse snatcher who hit her with his car as he fled – but will Kit believe her?

Lisa could later be declared innocent when another suspect prepares to go to the police.

After struggling in the weeks following Joel’s death, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) is about to confess to Joel’s murder to Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges).

Viewers will know Dee-Dee attacked Joel with a crowbar the night he died, then washed the blood from the gun in his sink.

Dee-Dee breaks down and tells Ed she’s going to go to the police, but he’s totally against the idea.

Will Ed persuade her to keep quiet? And if he does, what will it mean for Lisa?
