Donald Trump ‘struggles’ to get into garbage truck: video

Social media commenters have expressed concerns about Donald Trumpthe state of health of Republican presidential candidate getting into a garbage truck in campaign colors.

On Wednesday, in Wisconsin, Trump was filmed getting into the truck while wearing a fluorescent orange safety vest, an apparent response to the president Joe Biden appearing to call his supporters “trash” earlier this week. The images were taken during a campaign stop and Trump later wore the fluorescent vest at a rally in Green Bay.

A seven-second clip was shared on X by Matt McDermotta pollster who works on a range of progressive causes as senior vice president of Whitman Insight Strategies. It shows Trump reaching for the garbage truck door, and appearing to miss it, before briefly appearing unsure of his position.

McDermott captioned the video: “Trump seems to be really struggling physically.”

News week contacted the Trump campaign for comment Thursday via email outside of normal business hours.

McDermott’s post went viral on X, racking up more than 7,900 reposts and 3.7 million views.

In response to the clip, attorney Jeffrey Evan Gold, who provided legal analysis on CNNsaid: “I just gave in. I don’t think he’s going to pass the medical exam for garbage work, but at least he’s trying.”

In a post from his satirical account “Mrs. Betty Bowers,” Canadian comedian Deven Green wrote: “He has deteriorated so much that he now moves like a drunk.”
