OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Showers move out of the northeast early this morning and clouds are expected to follow. As the clouds decrease, we should be able to drop the 40s to the 50s this afternoon.

The gusty northwest wind will also ease in the afternoon, making it feel a little better under sunny skies.

This all makes for a great trick or treat forecast that will hopefully be better than last year. Clear skies, light winds and slowly dropping temperatures should guarantee you a great evening.

Clear skies will continue this evening through Friday as southerly winds pick up a little before the afternoon.

The next chance of rain arrives Saturday afternoon with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible. These could easily impact the day in Lincoln if you head to the tailgate and watch the game. You might need a poncho in the stadium. There will be a bit of a southerly breeze as temperatures attempt to reach the lower 60s.

Further chances of rain are also forecast from Saturday evening into Sunday, with a few storms possible. It looks like things could be a little soggy early next week as well.
