Over the years, I have often referred to Cal Poly as a team that “works anonymously on California’s central coast.”

And that’s pretty true. When I mention programs that are influenced by the RPI due to their geographic isolation, Cal Poly is one of my spokespeople for this unseemly process. But there has also been a ton of off-the-beaten-path success under longtime head coach Larry Lee over the years.
