Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made his final campaign stop in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he thanked supporters at the Capitol Diner alongside his family.

“I hope you saw yourself in us: middle-class people just trying to do the right thing for their community,” he began.

Walz continued Vice President Kamala Harris’ speech recent trend not to specifically call out former President Donald Trump by name. The governor said Harris “wakes up every morning thinking about you and what we can do better — and that’s a pretty stark contrast to the other side.”

“This week, I couldn’t be prouder to be on this ticket. To look at this contrast, the hopeful one, the rule of law matters, the constitution matters, the American experiment matters, our neighbors matter … as opposed to a list of grievances and such,” he said. “This country is fed up.”

Walz said the election would “probably go down to here” in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

“This thing is very close,” he said. “Your voice and your free will matter…and contrary to at least what one guy thinks, no one is above the damn law, and no one is below anyone else.”

Walz assured voters, “We have the fairest, freest, and most secure elections,” while urging everyone to “stay calm, stay with this, wait until the end.”

“History will judge us. I will always be on the side of light and joy against darkness,” he concluded. “This state knows a thing or two about winning. What if Pennsylvania won for America?”
