Nigel FarageBritish MP and long-time ally of the former president Donald Trumpcalled on the former president to accept defeat if the election ends decisively for vice president Kamala Harris favor and “go play golf at Turnberry.”

Farage, leader of Britain’s Reform Party, arrived in Florida to join Trump’s election night party at Mar-a-Lago where he sat for an interview with The telegraph when he urged Republicans to respect a clear outcome.

“If it was clear and decisive, then maybe it’s time (for Trump) to go play golf at Turnberry,” Farage said.

The British MP added that if Harris wins, a strategic move would be for her to pardon Trump to avoid any post-election unrest.

“If she arrives on Tuesday, I hope she forgives him,” he said. “She could appear magnanimous, and that would ease potential tensions.”

The election has increased concerns in Washington and beyond about the possibility of civil unrest, a concern that has intensified since the Capitol riots in 2021. Farage stressed the importance of accepting the election results to the good of democracy, noting that he had “never accepted”. with the stolen election narrative.

“The whole point of voting is that we don’t need to fight,” he noted. “That’s why we fought two world wars.”

He continued: “Do I have enormous doubts about the integrity of the elections? Yes, and so do about 70 percent of Americans. About half of Democrats question the way the election is being run,” he said. “I have to say that the way they are conducting elections is abhorrent.

He added: “I just hope it’s a clear outcome. Nearly a quarter century ago we had hanging chads and dimpled chads and here we are 25 years later with huge questions about how Americans conduct elections. I find it incredible.

Although Farage remains publicly optimistic about Trump’s chances, he adds: “It’s all hypothetical and I still think he’s going to win.” »

Farage said he hoped a second Trump term would bring “exciting” changes. Elon Muskhe suggested, would help implement “radical cuts” in Washington, slashing federal departments in what Farage sees as a blueprint for Reform UK’s goals.

“That’s the sexy part,” he said. “Elon walks in and takes a knife to the deep state.”

Farage blasted Harris for being “programmed for hell” and explained how he believed Trump had been wrongly vilified by the US establishment: “They hate him in Washington. They are snobs. They call him truck driver. They find him crude, vulgar. But they all forget that he’s from New York.

He continued: “The snobbery against him is simply unbelievable. But the politics align. We see it in Britain, Europe and America. The values of the center right are much more adapted to the working classes than to the upper middle classes and the Trump campaign symbolizes this. This is changing.

He praised Trump’s work ethic and joked: “The British royal family could learn an awful lot from Trump.” »
