Domantas Sabonis Game Winner Goes Viral in Kings-Heat

After a tough defeat against the Toronto Raptors Saturday, the Kings of Sacramento needed a spark as they journeyed to face the Miami Heat Monday evening.

Sacramento eliminated South Beach with a 111-110 victory, led by De’Aaron Fox and DeMar DeRozan dropping 28 and 26 points, respectively. The Heat had a strong performance, led by Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler with 27 points each.

The play of the game, undoubtedly, was the result of a failed game-winning attempt by De’Aaron Fox, as star center Domantas Sabonis grabbed the offensive rebound off two Miami defenders and returned it for the shot winner with 0.7 seconds left.

Heat guard Terry Rozier had a chance to win it from deep at the buzzer, but with a miss, Sabonis’ shot will officially be considered a game-winner.

Sabonis’ highlight went viral on social media, with the NBA and several high-profile media outlets posting it.
