    Star Trek’s Robert Picardo made an interesting comment about Starfleet Academy’s Paul Giamatti, and I can’t help but wonder what that means

    We still have a long time to wait next Star Trek series Starfleet Academybut everything we’ve heard so far seems worth it. Robert Picardo took some time to talk about the series in an interview, and I can’t help but wonder about one thing he said. Paul Giamatti.

    THE casting of Starfleet Academy is full of talent, including Oscar nominee and Trekkie Paul Giamatti. Picardo, who return to Star Trek alongside other veterans about the franchise of the new show, spoke to TVO today about the series and made the following comment about the stacked cast list:

    We have Holly Hunter, an extraordinary movie star and Oscar-winning actress leading our show as Chancellor of Starfleet (Academy). The villain of the first season is Paul Giamatti. And then there’s this incredible cast of new young actors – a lot of them have credits, but they’re just new to me. But they are really talented and unique, and their characters, both in the writing and in their interpretation, I find very well defined. So I’m excited.
