Hindus in Canada witnessed yet another attack on Sunday when worshipers were attacked at a temple in Brampton, Canada, by a group of people, allegedly Khalistan extremists. A group of men holding Khalistan flags could be seen in videos, beat people with sticks in front of the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton.

Canadian MP Chandra Arya said a “red line has been crossed” by Canadian Khalistani extremists and that Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass into Canada.

From threats to assaults, Hindus in Canada have witnessed an increase in crime at the hands of Khalistan extremists over the years. In July this year, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun released a video ordering Chandra Arya and his followers to return to India.

July 2024

A Hindu temple was vandalized in Edmonton, Canada, with graffiti painted on the walls. The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir was defaced with insults threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian-origin Canadian MP Chandra Arya.

February 2024

The Vaishno Devi Temple in Oakville suffered a break-in on February 11 when someone forced open the front door, damaging it. Police alleged the intruder stole cash and various items from inside the temple before leaving.

December 2023

On December 27, at least 14 shots were fired into the home of the head of a Hindu temple in Metro Vancouver. Satish Kumar, president of Surrey’s Lakshmi Narayan Mandir temple, said he saw bullet holes in his garage door and gate to his property.

On December 22, the Ram Dham Temple in Kitchener was attacked when an intruder entered and vandalized the temple. He used a metal barricade post and smashed objects around the altar.

October 2023

On October 15, the entrance to Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey, British Columbia, was blocked for hours by Khalistan supporters. A convoy of vehicles carrying pro-Khalistan elements, chanting divisive slogans, passed the temple during the Navratri celebration.

On October 8, three religious temples were broken into in the Durham region. A man broke into a temple in the area of ​​Bayly Street and Liverpool Road in Pickering and took a large sum of money from donation boxes. Another temple was broken into near Brock and Rossland roads in Pickering. The same man broke into a third temple in the area of ​​Westney Road and Bayly Street in Ajax.
