Tom Brady was back on the call in Week 9, covering the Detroit Lions’ 24-14 win over the Green Bay Packers alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt for Fox.

The Lions and Packers faced sloppy offensive performances in rainy conditions, with both teams held below their overall scoring average heading into the contest. Still, Detroit managed to maintain a 14-point halftime lead and pull away atop the NFC North.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was listed as questionable with a groin injury before the match and faced inconsistency throughout the competition.

Love threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown just before the end of the first half, leading Brady to discuss the possibility of getting too aggressive before halftime.

With Green Bay needing to gain a yard on second down in the fourth quarter, Love threw two incomplete passes before a fourth down run from Josh Jacobs could move the sticks. Brady disagreed with the Packers’ approach.

I love these explanations @TomBrady on what the quarterbacks need to do – you can see Green Bay completely blew this on all three downs and Jordan Love didn’t take the play easy. Tom Brady called it perfectly.#Foxsports #NFL

With the loss, Love and the Packers fell to 6-3.
