LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A warm front passes through Sunday with increasing clouds and possibly a few showers in the afternoon. Much of the day looks set to be dry and warm as highs reach the 70s. Clouds continue to fill in Sunday evening, keeping us much milder than previous nights.

Expect lows in the 50s and 60s Monday morning. The weather will be mostly cloudy, warm and a little windy on Monday. A stray shower is possible. Despite the cloud cover, we won’t be far from record temperatures as temperatures return to the 70s.

Monday evening will be mostly cloudy and mild with light showers. Lows Tuesday morning only dip into the 60s.

We continue to closely monitor Election Day on Tuesday. Most of the day is hot, windy and dry. Record high temperatures could be in jeopardy Tuesday as temperatures approach 80 degrees. Later this evening, a cold front brings widespread rain to WAVE Country.

Most of this rain is expected to wait until polls close, meaning there will be no weather impact on your voting plans. However, rain could persist on Wednesday and even Thursday as the front stalls nearby.
