SEC Power Rankings after Week 10

The SEC has struggled through 10 weeks of the 2024 college football season. November is shaping up to be a frenzied race to Atlanta as eight teams find themselves with two losses or fewer in the SEC standings. Five teams, Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Texas and LSU, have just one loss this season.

Every week we’ve had a big conference upset, and this week was no different as the South Carolina Gamecocks knocked off the No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies just a week after the Aggies picked up a huge win against LSU.

How did the Gamecocks’ win over Texas A&M affect this week’s SEC power rankings? Let’s take a look.

Week 10: Beat UMass 45-20

Week 10: Lost to Vanderbilt 17-7

It’s easy to look at Auburn’s situation and think it’s hopeless, but it’s not because they lost to Vanderbilt. This is not the same Vandy team we have known over the years. Still, Hugh Freeze is going to have a lot to answer for because his seat is getting hot.

Week 10: Beat Maine 59-14

No one is going to hang a banner on a win against Maine, but it was nice to break a three-game losing streak and see the offense have consistent success, scoring on all but two possessions.

Week 10: Lost to Ole Miss 63-31

The Razorbacks had a good day offensively with nearly 500 total offensive yards, but it wasn’t enough as the defense allowed the Rebels to gain 694 offensive yards. Arkansas has alternated wins and losses since entering SEC play and now has a bye week before hosting former Southwest Conference foe Texas in Fayetteville.

Week 10: GOODBYE WEEK

Things were going well for the Gators until DJ Lagway was lost to injury. Florida couldn’t sustain much offense after that.
