Regional authors gather for McCracken County Library event | News

PADUCAH — On Saturday, November 2, the McCracken County Public Library’s Front & Center series will feature four authors with regional ties to the community.

Today’s Author Spotlight event features Terry Irwin, Susan Page Davis, Bruce Leonard and Danette Mahabeer.

According to MCCPL, Author Spotlight is a great opportunity to meet regional authors in a relaxed atmosphere.

The event takes place upstairs at the McCracken County Public Library. The address is 555 Washington St, Paducah, KY 42003.

Terry Irwin’s first book, “Sgt. Dinwiddie’s War,” chronicles Terry’s stepfather’s experience as an aviator during World War II.

Susan Page Davis has written more than 100 published novels, but her most recent, “True Blue Christmas,” is set in Murray, Kentucky.

Bruce Leonard is the author of the bestselling Hadley Carroll Mysteries, the first of which, Quilt City Murderswas named the best mystery of 2022 in a competition.

Leonard’s new book series, “Hard Exit,” follows the story of a man in love with two women, one of whom died.

Danette Mahabeer is a local advocate, podcaster, and author of the book “Leave Alive.”

All authors mentioned will appear at the Author Spotlight event from 2-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 at the McCracken County Public Library.
