Jamie Kah was cleared to compete in the remainder of the day in the Victoria Derby, although she was withdrawn from the fifth race due to a nose injury.

Stewards withdrew Hurry Curry, her Group 2 Wakeful Stakes mount, at 3 p.m. after the filly threw her head back and hit Kah in the face.

Her nose was bleeding profusely and after consulting the doctor at the barriers, it was decided to temporarily suspend her, which required scratching Hurry Curry.

Kah was examined again by the club doctor upon her return to the ladder and she was cleared to fulfill her commitments for the remainder of the day.

The race was further delayed when NSW visitor Ziggy Rose failed to load and was also scratched at the barrier.
