Question: Let’s take a quick look at the Big Ten title race. At this point, Oregon could realistically face Ohio State, Penn State or Indiana. Which of these three teams would you most want to play in Indianapolis, if Oregon makes it there?

I think the easiest matchup for Oregon would be Indiana. All due respect to the Hoosiers, but they played precisely person this year, and I think they could be exposed like Illinois did last week. In reality, none of these three concern me much if I’m Dan Lanning. All have their flaws, and I think the Ducks are better on paper, at the very least.

Most likely it will be Penn State, a team I think Oregon is better. I’ll take Gabriel vs. Drew Go any day of the week and Indiana could lose once or even twice here in November. Penn State hosts Ohio State this Saturday. The winner of this game faces the Ducks in Indy.

If I could choose, I definitely wouldn’t choose Ohio State, even though I think that’s the most likely outcome. I think Oregon would do well against Penn State or Indiana because while they are both undefeated, they are also not widely tested. But, like I said, I’m totally ready for a Ducks-Buckeyes rematch in Indy.
