Above average heat for early November

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – November starts out hot, just like October. The weather remains generally dry throughout the weekend and early next week. We’re hoping for at least a little more chance of rain around the middle of next week.

Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy this Friday. Warm with a bit of a breeze and a slight chance of rain as a weakening front moves through the area. Our temperatures will not change however. Highs in the 80s.

Don’t forget that the time change is this weekend! Saturday evening we fall back to the end of daylight saving time. Set your clock back one hour Saturday night before you go to bed. This will shift sunrise and sunset an hour earlier starting Sunday, as the amount of daylight continues to decrease a little each day through December.

It’s the same thing at the start of next week. Mostly dry and warm, possibly windy. Highs in the 80s. As we head into Wednesday and Thursday, two cold fronts will hopefully bring us our best chance of measurable rain in weeks. By the end of next week, more seasonal highs (in the 70s) should return.
