Mississauga Transitway stations to reopen and changes to bus routes

Several stations along the Mississauga Transitway are reopening to commuters.

Tomorrow (Nov. 1), Renforth Station and stations east of Dixie — Tahoe, Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek, Spectrum and Orbitor — will reopen after a month of construction in the area.

During this period, several MiWay routes have been rerouted but from 6am tomorrow, routes 7, 39, 43, 74, 107 and 109 will resume regular service, with buses available from platform level.

Information specific to the service at each of these stations can be found here.

Meanwhile, in other MiWat news, Route 51 Tomken has now been extended north along Tomken Road to serve Bramalea GO Station, Platform 12 (Stop 6029).

This route will operate weekdays and Saturdays. On weekdays, the route will have a peak service frequency of 14 minutes in the morning and 27 minutes at midday. On Saturdays, the route will have a service frequency of 50 minutes.

This expanded route will provide customers with another option to travel to Brampton and access Brampton Transit and GO Transit services. It will also provide better access to employment areas along Tomken Road while reducing transfers for customers.

Additionally, due to high customer demand on Sunday midday and evening on Route 61 Mavis, service will now operate every 15 minutes at midday and every 23 minutes late evening after 10 p.m. (instead of every 18 minutes and every 43 minutes). respectively).
