Singapore is the perfect getaway for people who want to explore nature

Singapore has quickly become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. There are so many things to do in the country that everyone can find something to enjoy during a visit.

One of the most attractive parts of Singapore is the incredible adventures people can experience in nature. If you are a nature enthusiast, the Singapore Tourism Office has some new things coming in 2025.

Singapore Botanic Gardens is one of the most popular. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers people a perfect escape from city life. Aged 165 years, it is located on the edge of Orchard Road, in the shopping district.

One of three gardens, it is the only one classified as tropical. For 11 consecutive years, it has been ranked No. 1 Asian amusement park. In 2012, it received the inaugural Garden of the Year award from the International Garden Tourism Awards.

Anyone who wants to get closer to nature will love the Central Catchment Nature Reserve which takes you through the MacRitche Trails.

A grandiose adventure awaits you with more than 2,000 hectares of forest around MacRitche Reservoir and more than 20 kilometers of trails and walks to explore. The great thing about this network is that there is something for people of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy.

Other outdoor trips that might scratch that adventurous itch are Pulau Ubin, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve And Henderson Waves Bridge.

Pulau Ubin will give you a glimpse of traditional kampongs as you cycle or walk the hillside trails. The Jejawi observation tower offers you a nice view of the wildlife and native plants of the region.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve will allow you to observe different birds, as it is an important stop on their migratory journeys. It is part of the East Asian Australasian Shorebird Site Network.

The Henderson Waves Bridge has the superlative of being the tallest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It is one of two walking trails that connect the Southern Ridges to Mount Faber and Alexandra Arch.

For a family full of adventurers, which may include children, the Disney Adventure Cruise Ship is the perfect getaway and makes a home base in Singapore. The Marina Bay Cruise Center will be the ship’s departure point in 2025 and will accommodate more than 9,000 people, including guests and crew.
