LeBron James supports Kamala Harris days before the presidential election

With the 2024 presidential election just days away, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has officially endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. He took to social media to make his feelings about the election known.

“What are we talking about here?? When I think about my children and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”

James has never been shy about making his opinions known on issues and he believes the vice president is the right person to move the country forward. He joins Stephen Curry, another NBA star, in supporting Harris ahead of the election.

On the court, James continued to dominate in a way we’ve never seen so well. Even though he’s not the same player he was before, he’s found other ways to make an impact on the field.

On the year, James averaged 21.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. He’s also shooting 38.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line through Los Angeles’ first five games.

His scoring is down a bit to start the year, but the Lakers have leaned on co-star Anthony Davis more often in games. This allows James to take some pressure off himself and ensure he is ready for the latter part of the season. Being almost 40 years old, the Lakers tried to play smart with James.

Los Angeles started the year 3-2 and was much better than most people thought. With new head coach JJ Redick, the Lakers believe they have as good a chance as any team to hoist the trophy at the end of the season.

James is tasked with trying to help the Lakers win another NBA title and will do so alongside his son Bronny. Bronny was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft by Los Angeles and the two made history in the team’s season opener.

They become the first-ever father-son duo to play together in the NBA, creating a special moment for everyone involved. Although Bronny is not expected to be on the Lakers roster for most of the season, the elder James has accomplished his goal of playing alongside his son.
