Here’s what you need to know to make the necessary plans.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

The country comes to town in the world’s largest indoor agricultural event (its 102nd, to be exact), offering visitors the best in agriculture, food and family fun.

Expect the usual extravaganza, from the grand horse show to agricultural competitions, SuperDogs, delicious culinary offerings, hands-on family entertainment where you can test your skills on a mechanical bull and learn roping, plus that more than 100 sellers to enjoy.

Oh, and don’t forget Dawson and Pacey, two charismatic alpacas who are the 2024 royal ambassadors.

Gallop to the Place des Expositions until November 10 (Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

Arrival of the Christmas tree

Tis the season when the historic Distillery District welcomes its 55-foot-tall silver tree to Trinity Street Square, marking the unofficial start of the holiday season and signaling the imminent return of everyone’s favorite, the Winter Village from the distillery, which kicks off. on November 13.

Watch the massive tree back down Trinity Street, where it is trimmed to perfection and installed by crane. Once complete, the two-week decorating process begins.

The tree arrives on site between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday. After that, visitors can enjoy hot drinks and delicious food from the market before the tree is raised, between 9am and 10am.
