Thirty years after the release of Forrest Gumpstars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright reunite with director Robert Zemeckis for a new film that’s sure to make you cry, titled Here.

Directed by Zemeckis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Forrest Gump writer Eric RothHere chronicles the many lives and stories that unfold over several decades in a single household. It’s not really a Forrest Gump sequel – the story is based on Richard McGuire’s 2014 graphic novel – but it certainly feels like Gumpthe spiritual successor of.

Hanks and Wright play a married couple, Richard and Margaret Young, while Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly play Richard’s parents, Al and Rose. The film has received positive reviews from critics so far and will no doubt please families looking for a holiday watch.

Does the Here streaming movie on Netflix or HBO Max?

Here is not currently streaming on Netflix or Max, as the film is only being released in theaters. For now the only way to watch Here is in a movie theater. That said, because Here is a Sony movie – released by Sony TriStar Pictures – we expect to eventually see it streaming on Netflix.

Here probably won’t come to Max, the owner of the Warner Bros. streamer, because it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. You can buy the Tom Hank film Here possibly on Prime Video, when the film becomes available to buy and rent digitally, but you won’t be able to stream it Here on Prime Video for free with a Prime subscription.
