“Happy Diwali!” : UAE leaders extend ‘warmest wishes’ on India’s Festival of Lights – News

UAE leaders took to social media to express warm wishes on the occasion of Diwali, congratulating all those celebrating it.

In a tweet in three languages, Hindi, English and Arabic, the UAE President said: “My best wishes to everyone in the UAE and around the world who are celebrating Diwali. May the coming year bring peace, health and happiness to you and your families.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, spoke to X to offer his “warmest wishes”.

He said: “My best wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world. May the Festival of Lights bring you and your loved ones joy, peace and security. Let the light in your hearts guide you towards harmony, compassion. , and a shared understanding. Happy Diwali! »




The Festival of Lights is celebrated this year on Thursday October 31. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness. The balconies of buildings across the country have been adorned with colorful lights by those celebrating the festival. Some even make ‘rangoli’, works of art made from colored powder or flowers, outside their doors to welcome the deity of wealth.
