UFC Edmonton: Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi start time in over 20 countries including USA, Mexico, Iraq and more

The MMA bandwagon is heading straight to Alberta, Canada this weekend for UFC Edmonton. The November 2 card will be main evented by two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno, who has been tasked with testing the undefeated No. 3 ranked fighter in the division, Iraqi Amir Albazi.

The card also promises more as fan favorite Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis makes his return against Jhonata Diniz following a sensational R3 KO/TKO victory over Rodrigo Nascimento earlier in May.

Other notable names promoting the card include former champion “Thug” Rose Namajunas who will take on Erin Blanchfield in another exciting flyweight bout.

The only problem is that the world is divided into different time zones. And since this will be broadcast all over the world, it’s wise to know when to sound the alarm.

Fight fans in the United States can tune in for the preliminary card at 4 p.m. ET, followed by the main card which begins at 7 p.m. While fans in the UK will have to sacrifice their sleep to follow the action live due to the main card being scheduled for midnight (GMT).

So. But in case you’re not convinced by the card, because “it’s not a PPV, whatever” and all that, the UFC takes care of that too.

UFC Edmonton main card detailed

The evening should begin with a welterweight battle between young Mike Mallot and American Trevin Giles. This fight will be of great importance to both fighters as both are coming off losses, with Mallot posting a 10-2-1 record and Giles with his 16-6-0 record.

This WW fight is followed by Marc-André Barriault against Dustin Stoltzfus in the mmiddleweight division. Just like in the previous match, both middleweights are looking to bounce back from their losses. While Andre Barriault has a slight height advantage, Stoltzfus’ one-inch reach advantage can be crucial if he can use it to good effect.

Next up is an all-Brazilian light heavyweight showdown between Caio Machado and Brendson Ribeiro, followed by the heavyweight clash between Derrick Lewis and the Brazilian. Jhonata Diniz.

Thug Rose and Assassin Baby – The Showstoppers

Fan favorite former women’s flyweight champion Rose Namajunas also has a tough task ahead of her as she plans to take on Erin Blanchfield. Blanchfield, ranked No. 3, is looking to bounce back from her recent loss to Manon Fiorot. “Thug” Rose, meanwhile, wants to be back in the field for UFC gold, so a win over a top opponent gives her the ammunition to do so.

UFC Edmonton will conclude with an epic clash between headliner, Brandon Moreno, and Amir Albazi in the main event. The former flyweight champion also wants to find his way back to the title that Alexander Pantoja currently holds.

Just like Namajunas, he will want to score a comfortable victory against Albizi and get into the fight for UFC gold. Yet nothing is ever simple in the flyweight division. The lower everyone goes in the weight category, the more skilled fighters they find there. And these two are no different.

Besides, Moreno isn’t called Assassin Bay for nothing! So write down the times and get online, maybe have a watch party. It may not be New Year’s Eve yet, but the fireworks are coming back to your house.
