Freeze warning on Halloween morning will chill you to the bone

Tonight’s forecast:
Rain and snow showers are expected to end between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. in our area this evening. Clouds will gradually clear overnight, but patchy fog is possible in El Paso County and along the lower Arkansas River in the morning.

It will be very cold tonight and severe and widespread frost is expected. A FROST WARNING is in effect from midnight until 10 a.m. Thursday.

Colorado Springs Forecast: Low: 24; High: 54;
FROST WARNING until 10 a.m. Thursday. Patchy morning fog is possible and this will clear to give way to a sunny day. Temperatures will be between 40 and 30 degrees for candy or treats.

Pueblo Forecast: Low: 24; High: 58;
FROST WARNING until 10 a.m. Thursday. Thursday, mostly sunny with light winds and cool temperatures. Trick-or-treating will begin in the 50s and subside until the mid-40s.

Forecast for Canon City: Weak: 26; High: 60;
Thursday will be mostly sunny with cool temperatures. For treats, the temperature will be in the 50s just before sunset and cool down to the 40s after sunset.

Forecast for Woodland Park: Weak: 19; High: 49;
Sunny Thursday with melting snow. It will be cool all day. The trick-or-treat will take place in the 1930s.

Tri-Lakes Forecast: Weak: 22; High: 52;
FROST WARNING until 10 a.m. Thursday. The sun will come out on Thursday and help melt the snow. It will be a cool but calm day. It will be cold in the 40s to mid 30s.

Plains Forecast: Weak: 20 years old; High: 50s/60s;
FROST WARNING until 10 a.m. Thursday. There is a chance of patchy fog early in the morning, then clearing with the sun. It will be a cool day in the mid 50s to low 60s. Trick or treating activity will be in the 40s.

Forecast for Walsenburg and Trinidad: Weak: 26/27; High: 60/61;
FROST WARNING until 10 a.m. Thursday. The weather will be sunny and cool Thursday afternoon. It will be cold in the 40s.

Mountain forecast: Low: teenagers/20s; High: 40s/50s;
No need for a frost warning as severe freezes have already occurred, but it will also be cold in the morning in the 20s and 20s. The afternoon will be sunny with temperatures reaching the mid 40s to 50 degrees in mountain valleys.

Extended Outlook Forecast:
Friday and weekend look comfortable with sunshine and 50s in the mountains and 60s in the flats. The next cold front with rain and snow showers will arrive Monday, stay tuned for more details.
