HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) – All lanes of the Palmetto Expressway near NW 58th Street have reopened in both directions after crews worked on a downed power line, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The closure, reported before 5 p.m., caused traffic to stop during rush hour.

Authorities said an overhead electrical wire fell on State Road 826.

Skyforce HD flew over what appeared to be a downed power line spanning both the northbound and southbound lanes.

Cameras captured Florida Power & Light workers trying to remove the fallen power line.
