“He was like, ‘Look, you’re clearly breaking up with this girl. Why don’t you train with her?'” Dax continued. “Like, go tell him, ‘When you said that, I felt that way.'”

Dax ended up trying the idea and was surprised by the positive outcome.

“The reaction was above all shock,” said the Parenthood The star recalled, “like, ‘There’s a man who says he feels really insecure and that he’s small and insignificant.'”

Ultimately, this romance didn’t stand the test of time, but Bradley’s experiment certainly did. In fact, Dax said his lesson on how to “lead with vulnerability” helped him a lot when he started dating Kristen, with whom he now shares daughters. Lincoln11, and Delta9.

And even now, he encourages those who struggle to open up to “practice” sharing their most vulnerable emotions in doomed relationships.

“It’s a gift,” Dax explained. “They’re out of there. So give it a try.”
