Jewelry thief suspects arrested in ‘followed’ crimes in Woodland Hills area

A trio of robbery suspects were arrested following a series of violent and confrontational attacks in the Woodland Hills area, Los Angeles police announced Tuesday.

Detectives identified Chazon Brown, 28, of Los Angeles, Isaiah Moore, 32, of Fresno, and Nhazel Warren, 19, of Los Angeles, as responsible for a series of crimes known as “follow-on” robberies. “.

The suspects regularly followed their victims in a black BMW sedan, according to police.

Two of the suspects were linked to a Sept. 19 robbery in the 23000 block of Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills. The victim was punched and slammed to the ground while the attackers forcibly removed her jewelry, police said.

A similar crime took place last Wednesday in the 21000 block of Ventura Boulevard, where two passengers in a black vehicle came out armed with handguns and robbed the victim of her jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Police issued search and arrest warrants for Brown and Moore on Thursday, recovering two semi-automatic pistols and other items as evidence. Warren was later arrested in Long Beach, but posted bond and was released Tuesday.

The bail amount for each suspect is $1 million. Police say Warren wore a GPS ankle monitor during previous arrests in two unrelated cases that occurred in July and August. He also posted bond for those arrests.

“Based on the evidence collected in this case, investigators believe these three individuals are prolific robbery suspects responsible for numerous other robberies,” the LAPD said in a news release. “Investigators believe many other victims have not yet been identified.”
