The process is easier than you think. Start by slicing your onions into the shape you want. Add your cut onions to a ziplock bag, spreading them out so they lay flat. Next, expel all the air from the bag. You can use a straw or a vacuum machine to remove as much air as possible.

You will be left with a flat, sealed bag of onions that you can pop into your freezer.

“Anyone, and I mean anyone, has room for this tiny, skinny bundle,” adds Suzie.

When you’re ready to use your onion, simply cut the amount you need and you can use it for any of your favorite recipes. The creator sautés it to garnish a delicious scrambled egg.

Reducing your food waste by just 10% can save you almost $100 per year. Tips as freeze leftovers Or dry the herbs are all simple ways to reduce the amount of food that ends up in the trash.
