System C acquires CIS Oncology to expand medication management

Healthcare technology company System C announced the strategic acquisition of CIS Oncology, marking a significant expansion of its medication management offerings.

CIS Oncology is known for its chemotherapy prescribing and management system, ChemoCare, which accelerates and streamlines prescribing and patient management.

Once integrated, System C customers will be able to manage their entire prescribing journey with a single unified experience through which clinicians and oncologists can prescribe chemotherapy and non-chemotherapeutic medications.

The acquisition of the oncology technology company complements System C’s existing electronic patient records (EPR) portfolio, maternity and neonatal, prescription and pharmacy solutions.

CIS Oncology’s cancer informatics solutions streamline data management, enable precision medicine approaches and facilitate coordinated care to give patients personalized treatment plans and support multidisciplinary cancer teams to make informed decisions.

In early 2025, the company plans to launch ChemoPRO, an application that provides patients with instant access to their medical information and allows them to communicate with healthcare professionals.

The C system is actively engaged in Forum Automate 4 Best Care (A4BC)chaired by Lord Carter, to set priorities for medicines interoperability to inform national funding prioritization.

Earlier in 2024, System C announced the launch of its new electronic patient record solution, CareFlow DPEa fully integrated patient record solution that combines patient administration, clinical operations, maternity and neonatal capabilities, pharmacy and prescribing.
