Jude Bellingham is the highest-ranked English player in the Ballon d’Or rankings, with the Real Madrid star coming third in 2024.

Bellingham, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Declan Rice have all been named on the 30-man shortlist along with Manchester City and the Spanish superstar. Rodri wins the overall prize.

Each player has enjoyed hugely successful 2023/24 seasons with their respective clubs and reached the Euro 2024 final this summer.

It’s been 13 years since an English star won the prestigious awardwith Michael Owen winning in 2001 while at Liverpool.

However, while the wait for another winner from these odds continues, the 2024 edition Three Lions the representatives all received respectable finishes.

Bellingham tops the list of English players by finishing third after an incredible debut season at Real Madrid. His Blancos teammate Vinicius Jr came second.

The midfielder scored 23 goals and assisted 13 others to help win the treble – LaLiga, the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup.

But Bellingham, who won the Kopa Trophy last year, was not present at the Théâtre du Châtelet with his Real Madrid teammates Vinicius Jr, Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, Federico Valverde, Arda Guler, Andriy Lunin and Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti are spending the evening in the Spanish capital instead.

Bayern Munich striker Kanewho won the Gerd Muller Trophy with Mbappe, is ranked tenth in the table after an equally impressive campaign in Germany.

He has scored 44 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions, with the England captain also adding three to his tally at Euro 2024.

Foden finished just behind in 11th place, with the Manchester City star crucial to their 2023/24 success.

The 24-year-old scored 39 goals during the campaign, including 27 on the way to his sixth Premier League title win.

Arsenal winger saka secured a 21st place finish thanks to an excellent individual campaign for the north London team.

Kane came tenth overall but won an individual prize on Monday evening.

He scored 20 goals and added 14 assists for the Gunners before scoring for England in their Euro 2024 quarter-final win over Switzerland.

Below him in 25th is Palmerwho was arguably the signing of the summer of 2023 after joining Chelsea from City.

The attacking midfielder has reached an incredible 40 goals and assists in 45 appearances for the Blues and was recently named England Player of the Year.

Finally, the Arsenal midfielder Rice finished just one place behind Palmer, 26th, to round out the rankings for England’s players.

He joined the Gunners from West Ham for an initial fee of £100million and asserted his dominance in midfield during an excellent debut season.
