Copilot is an AI assistant for Windows 11. It is also integrated with Microsoft Edge. When you search for a topic on Bing, it also shows you a Copilot tab. By clicking on this tab, you can get an AI-generated response. However, this feature does not work for some users. 1) Check for updates

2) Clear cache and cookies

To do this, press the key Ctrl+Shift+Del keys to open the Delete browsing data window. Now, check the respective boxes for cookies and cache and then click Clear now.

3) Clear cookies for Copilot in Edge

If the problem persists, try deleting Copilot cookies in Edge. Follow the steps given below:

  1. First, open Copilot in Edge.
  2. Press the F12 function key to open Edge Developer Tools.
  3. A pop-up window will appear on the right side for your confirmation. Click Open Development tools.
  4. Select the Application tab from the top. If the tab is not visible, click the icon + and select Application.
  5. Now expand it Cookies drop-down list on the left side.
  6. There you will see the Copilot link. Right-click on it and select Clear.

4) Disable extensions

5) Check tracking protection settings

The Tracking Prevention feature in Edge helps you protect your privacy by restricting which websites track your online activity. By default, it is set to Balanced. You can change it from Balanced to Basic or Strict. The Strict setting blocks the majority of trackers. However, this setting may cause some websites to malfunction.

  1. Open Edge settings.
  2. Select Privacy, search and services on the left side.

6) Create another profile

You can create multiple profiles in Edge. Create another profile and see if Copilot starts working. If this resolves the issue, you can continue using the new profile and delete the previous one.

Create a permanent profile in Edge

Before deleting the previous profile, log in to this profile with your Microsoft account, so that all your bookmarks and extensions are saved in the cloud. This will help you restore all your bookmarks and extensions after signing in to the new profile with the same Microsoft account.

7) Reset edge

How to enable Copilot in Edge browser?

You don’t need to enable Copilot in Edge. It is integrated into Edge and enabled by default, provided you are using its latest version. However, if for some reason Copilot stops working in Edge, check Edge for updates.
