Judo Saskatchewan has sent a team of athletes to the 2024 Manitoba Open, a Judo Canada “A” sanctioned event, taking place this weekend in Winnipeg. The third annual event brought together 248 participants from 357 applications.

The third annual event brought together 248 participants from 357 applications. Saskatchewan’s 42 competitors returned with 15 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.

In two weeks, several advanced members of Team Saskatchewan will travel to Montreal to compete in the Quebec Open on November 9-10, participate in the national fall camp from November 11-13 and in the Cup events Pan American Junior and Cadet November 14-17.

Six veteran athletes from Saskatchewan will also represent Canada at the Las Vegas 2024 Veteran World Judo Championships, November 4-7, 2024.
