ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – You’ll want to grab a jacket this morning because it’s a cool and slightly windy start with temperatures in the low to mid 50s.

The day will start overcast and clouds will gradually decrease throughout the day.

High temperatures will be cooler today, ranging from the upper 60s in the mountains to the low 70s in the metro area.

This “cooler” weather will be brief. Expect high temperatures to be near 80 degrees midweek and we will stay at or near 80 degrees through Saturday.

This means Halloween will be hot with a high of 80 degrees. Trick or treating time will be in the low to mid 70s.

A few showers will be possible Friday along a cold front, and that cooler air will begin arriving Saturday evening with lows falling into the 50s Sunday morning and highs in the low to mid 70s Sunday.
